Behind and beyond the lens

Having grown up and spending most of my life in Dorset (give or take!) I decided it was time to start showing some of my images.

​

Having worked for the local newspapers as a darkroom technician (back in the days when they had them, i was 15 or 16!) I moved on to become a press photographer working for both national and local newspapers. Finally ending up as a chief photographer. Long hours and short holidays saw me turn my hand to teaching which I still do and love.

When working as a photographer full time, I found it hard to take pictures for fun and it's only after 10 years away from the trade I have returned to it for fun and enjoyment, this time to share with you.

I thought that I was starting to build up a number of images that were sat on my computer doing very little so it was time to turn them into this little website and see what happens. please share the page as much as possible and feel free to send me a comment.

Most of the images have been shot using Nikon equipment but there are a few phone images as well.
